چکیده

Dysbiosis resulting from a high fat/high sucrose diet (HFHSD) causes sarcopenia by decreasing the production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). This study investigated effects miso, traditional fermented soybean food in Japan, on muscle mass atrophy. Eight week old male C57BL/6J mice were fed HFHSD with or without miso for 12 weeks. A increased soleus weights (p <0.05) and reduced intraperitoneal glucose tolerance insulin <0.05). The downregulated Tnfα Ccl2 expression, related to inflammation, Trim63 Fbxo32 atrophy, SCFA levels, including acetic, propanoic, butanoic acids, feces, serum, According LEfSe analysis, family Prevotellaceae, Christensenellaceae, Dehalobacterium, Desulfitibacter; Deferribacteraceae, order Deferribacterales, class Deferribacteres; Gemmatimonadaceae, Gemmatimonadetes, Gemmatimonadales, whereas decreased Microbacteriaceae, Micrococcales, Actinobacteria, Lactobacillaceae. Miso suppressed induced impaired tolerance, low strength, atrophy improving dysbiosis increasing provides new insights into preventive foods sarcopenia.

Cheonggukjang, a soybean paste fermented with B. licheniformis-67 prevents weight gain and improves glycemic control in high fat diet induced obese mice

In this study, we investigated the anti-obesity effects of soybean paste-Cheonggukjang, fermented with poly gamma glutamic acid producing Bacillus licheniformis-67 in diet induced obese C57BL/6J mice. Forty male C57BL/6J mice aged 4 weeks were divided into four dietary groups; normal diet control, high fat diet control, high fat diet containing 30% of unfermented soybean and high fat diet conta...

Dietary diacylglycerol suppresses high fat and high sucrose diet-induced body fat accumulation in C57BL/6J mice.

Diacylglycerol (DG) comprises up to approximately 10% of various edible oils. In the present study, we examined the effects of dietary DG consisting mainly of 1,3-species on body weight, body fat accumulation, and mRNA levels of various genes involved in energy homeostasis in obesity-prone C57BL/6J mice. Five-month feeding with the high triacylglycerol (TG) diet (30% TG + 13% sucrose) resulted ...

Feasibility and effect on blood pressure of 6-week trial of low sodium soy sauce and miso (fermented soybean paste).

A double-blind, randomized placebo-controlled study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of the long-term use of low-sodium soy sauce and miso in the general Japanese population and its effect on blood pressure (BP). Forty men and 24 women were randomly allocated to a low-sodium group (n=32) or a control group (n=32). Low-sodium soy sauce and miso, which were approximately 25% and 20% lowe...

Inhibitory effects of Doenjang, Korean traditional fermented soybean paste, on oxidative stress and inflammation in adipose tissue of mice fed a high-fat diet

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES Doenjang, Korean traditional fermented soybean paste has been reported to have an anti-obesity effect. Because adipose tissue is considered a major source of inflammatory signals, we investigated the protective effects of Doenjang and steamed soybean on oxidative stress and inflammation in adipose tissue of diet-induced obese mice. MATERIALS/METHODS Male C57BL/6J mice we...

Evaluation of the effect of soybean diet on interferon-α-induced depression in male mice

Objective: Interferon-α (IFN) therapy can cause depressive symptom which may lead to drug discontinuation. By interfering with tryptophan pathway, the available level of tryptophan required for serotonin synthesis decreases which could be related to depression. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether soybean diet could improve IFN-induced depression. Materials and Methods: Male mice weigh...
